Objectives of Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) for Primary Health Centres:
- To provide comprehensive primary health care to the community through the Primary Health Centres.
- To achieve and maintain an acceptable standard of quality of care.
- To make the services more responsive and sensitive to the needs of the community
Objectives of Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) for Sub-centres
- To provide basic Primary health care to the community.
- To achieve and maintain an acceptable standard of quality of care.
- To make the services more responsive and sensitive to the needs of the community
Wardha dist. covers one District Hospital, 2 sub district hospital, 5 Rural hospitals ,16 PHC,109 SC under IPHS NRHM. Wardha has shown significant improvement in, out patient load in government facilities, sterilization cases, immunization & family planning work.
This dist. has recruited 18 Medical officers & 28 ANM under NRHM. Such addition of human resources has translated into improve availability of health care services for people in rural hospitals.
